Speak against Evil

The mind of man is so predicting that we automatically see our tribesmen, religious brothers and those we share something in common as always right. Only few conscientized people can differentiate between right and wrong especially in a nepotic society. For example having a Fulani person to admit that enough is enough for the senseless killings by the herdsmen; a Niger Deltan to condemn the atrocities and mayhem unleashed on the National wealth by the militants. I was once a ... victim to have thought that a typical Northerner can never be among the Boko boys, convincing my judgment that the boys were all from neighboring countries. I was indeed so wrong! What is wrong is forever wrong, no matter who the perpetrators are. It takes guts to stand for truth and justice. And not fighting against it, not speaking against it and supporting it makes one a coward. The senseless killings of hundreds of innocent souls and destruction of properties worth millions of Naira over cows o

PMB and Mrs. PMB's Statements

I had actually not wanted to comment on the First family affair. I thought a family business should be discussed within the realm of the house, but in situation where pants are washed outside, the public has every right to tell where they have not been rinsed well. The most interesting part is seeing how the youth critically take their time to analyse the whole incident. One would say some of them must have gone through each page of the Nigerian constitution but in some cases ... , one wonders if some were thinking through their “yansh” Waking up every morning for days and realizing the same thing trending on social media would break one’s heart. One would hope to log in and see youth discussing issues like - “way out of recession; how to end terrorism; drug abuse among youths especially in Northern Nigeria; rate of kidnappings and other unfortunate calamities needing urgent discuss. However, I’m not ignoring the fact that what’s happening between the Buharis requires our obse

NATION UNDER CONSTRUCTION(POEM)

I will write with a care not to be called out for treason for no reason. So I will make sure not to mention the word "revolution" But because I'm not a coward, I will never be in seclusion. Hence, I write with no obligation. But, as an average Nigerian, I receive a daily "intimation" Even though this nation is called a federation, I feel more of "marginalization" Anyways, its because our politicians lack religious education. So this tells why corruption is never under restriction. So as a poor Nigerian, I fear to question. Would you? Then, please throw up your suggestion. However, I trust this generation. Even though still under construction, I can see a great Nation. With a clear vision, which its mission is a total reformation. The corruption, bribe collection, religious and ethnic violations as well as discrimination..,we shall never share any portion. So please make my word as a notation. That everyone in this nation is a one big relation. I

WHAT A MISERY (poem)

The patriots of the country are the primary. Therefore,i consider all as my priority. i will write by being precisely. And not in a way to sally. So that i wont judge so personally. As you can see,my country is destroyed politically. And the politicians are making sure it becomes so religiously. Cheii..the set of people that lack sensitivity.... i don't mean all, literally. Even though the bests are on obituary. I have observed something recently. Our leaders nowadays steal proudly, and the so-called lawmakers ignore everything deliberately. or what my friend Hafiz describes as "blindly" They loot our money stupidly. They act with no decency. They are more of nonentity. Because they destroy our reputation entirely. They only care for themselves and their families. So if you are not in the circle, expect no hospitality. This situation makes the poor in a depravity. And no one cares with our poverty. The leaders want to live a life of a "celebrity" Live in the late

The love of a Mother(POEM)

It is never what you hear in the media. so sweet and so clear. she's no doubt my life's scholar. In any situation,my adviser. With her by my side,i become wiser. Whenever i think i'm a loser, She keeps convincing me that i'm an achiever. Her presence makes me stronger... And her words push me higher Her hands always protect me from danger And am always covered in her prayers. She thought me how to control my anger, Even as super eagles couldn't get further She made sure i never followed a peddler And for this reason,i never had to take any liqueur or even experience smoking ganja She prays for me to get a sweet mata unlike lady gaga I love the taste of her two miyan kuka This is the food that makes me fatter She stood by me even when i thought i wasn't premier She directed me in a way not to be a gangster It was difficult for her when i was much younger Even when being the black sheep, she showered me with love and care. Oh Mama,i will speak with no splutter You

Is it worth it?

I always deceive myself trying to ignore all the problems we are facing. To be blind to the pace of our misunderstandings. I sometimes decide not to follow the news of any sort and close my eyes and ears for some period of time. I try so hard not to involve my discussions in the media concerning religion and region because of my friends who are diverse in nature. We followed through very hard times with some, soaked real ijebu garri, scaled the fence, played and studied together. Thus, it will be inhumane to wake up one day and start questioning about what they do, where they came from and where they are going to. I can’t be a hypocrite believing that all human are not selfish but it is a principle that we must respect other people’s feelings. Calling a spade a spade, we all possess our qualities and when a man keeps complaining on another man’s attitude, clearly shows that he doesn’t understand his own direction yet. Forgetting the fact that pointing your finger to someone, three fi

Believe in yourself

Even though things can never be so perfect, you have to be focused and keep moving towards the right direction. You should distance yourself from the things or people that hold you back. You must by all means chase what’s in front of you by leaving what’s behind you. Don’t waste your precious time in trying to fix what has happened else you won’t achieve what’s coming to you. Invest in yourself, be a dreamer, achieve whatever you want, value your time, jump above obstacles, most importantly- believe in yourself.

HUMOUR about Today's Kids

Today's kids are so spoilt that they don't know that in our days you could be beaten for any of the following reasons: 1. Crying after being beaten. 2. Not crying after being beaten 3. Crying without being beaten 4. Standing while the elders are seated ... 5. Sitting while the elders stand 6. Walking around aimlessly where the elders are seated. 7. Replying back to an elder 8. Not replying back to an elder 9. Spending too much time without being beaten. 10. Singing after being admonished 11. Not greeting visitors 12. Eating food prepared for the visitors. 13. Crying to go with the visitors when the visitors are leaving. 14. Refusing to eat. 15. Coming back home after sunset 16. Eating at the neighbour's home 17. Generally being moody. 18. Generally being too excited. 19. Fighting with your age mate and losing. 20. Fighting with your age mate and winning. 21. Eating too slowly 22. Eating too quickly 23. Eating too much 24. Sleeping while the elders ha

Demand for good governance

Have you ever done some deep research only to realize that if you talk about it with people, they will think you are crazy? The saying that you can change the world is “unbelievably true”. The rising number of youths according to politicians, especially after being elected in offices is a problem/ and they might be true if we use our number for thuggery, drug abuse and insulting each other- which usually ends up for the benefit of the politicians.  But we always have a choice ... to use the social media to educate ourselves rather than being internet trolls and causing nuisance here and there. No single sector in the country is in a good shape and this alone should be very discomforting. The people we put in positions acquire wealth that can’t be explained and we sadly turn mute. And they would be praised for the beautiful cars they drive with their families and the mansions they build for their mistresses. Every leader must be accountable for his/her actions in office.

Lessons from the HEN

1. She first lays enough eggs before sitting on them: GOOD PLANNING. 2. When she starts sitting on her eggs, she minimizes movement: DISCIPLINE. 3. She physically loses weight while sitting on her eggs due to decreased feeding: SACRIFICE and SELF DENIAL. 4. She can sit on eggs from another hen:INDISCRIMINATE and GENEROUS. 5. She sits on her eggs for 21 days, patiently waiting and even if they don't hatch she will still lay eggs again: FAITH, HOPE and COURAGE. 6. She detects unfertilized eggs and rolls them out: SENSITIVE and DISCERNING. 7. She abandons the rotten eggs and starts caring for the hatched chicks even if it is only one: WISE, CONSCIOUS and REALISTIC. 8. No one can touch her chick: PROTECTIVE LOVE. 9. She gathers all her Chicks together: UNITY of PURPOSE. 10. She doesn't abandon her chicks before they mature: MENTORING

HUMOUR

I used N4k to buy fuel for my car and my remaining N1k to get food in a resturant before I face Lagos traffic. As I ordered food and sat down to eat, a man sitting beside me and in a nice shirt said, "I luv the way u eat, try their snail, i will pay". I hastily added 4 pieces of snail for N2000 and continued eating . He said again,"u eat so well, pls add a bottle of wine so dat u can drinkafter eating". I hastily made the order and was having fun.My total bill came up to about N10,000... I thanked him for accepting to pay. As I stood to leave, my car key fell down, and I bent to pick it, I discovered dat the man was bare-footed!!! Alas, he was a mad man. He laughed at me and said," De way dem go beat u 4 here ehh, na only God fit save u.!".

Tolerance is a virtue.

It is a version of the golden rule in that, insofar as we want others to treat us decently, we need to treat them decently as well. It is also a pragmatic formula for the functioning of society, as we can see in the omnipresent wars between different religions, political ideologies, nationalities, ethnic groups, or other us-versus-them divisions. We can’t talk about tolerance when it’s only to our advantage. We must also seek to possess a high sense of ... respect for individuals we meet on a daily basis. This would help define how much we really know and show tolerance for others. It amazes me when a Facebook user decides to become a friend with a particular person on social media, in most times, he/she sends the request for friendship. But on each of the person’s posts, what he concentrates on is reminding them of the weaknesses of their tribes and religions. All he does is constantly standing against “them”. I am very sure no person would appreciate such act upon his. It

ILLEGAL TO ASK QUESTION

When people think it’s illegal to ask or demand for good governance from its government because they will be viewed as being on the opposition or trying to bring the government down. It is more worrisome when it comes to issues of religion. We become very blind and over-hyper when there’s a question of any form even when its being used as a tool to enslave citizens and also hold the whole nation to ransom. Like nobody dares to ask why roads must be blocked Fridays and Sundays and makes it impossible for any security agency to take it as its responsibility to do what is expected by them in ensuring that lives are protected. It will be considered controversial or even blasphemous to ask the worshipping centers to consider lowering their loud speakers by acknowledging their neighborhoods for good of humanity. By doing these simple things, we will all agree that we are at peace. From my little knowledge, religion is not a contest. The relationship you have with your God must
