Is it worth it?

I always deceive myself trying to ignore all the problems we are facing. To be blind to the pace of our misunderstandings. I sometimes decide not to follow the news of any sort and close my eyes and ears for some period of time.

I try so hard not to involve my discussions in the media concerning religion and region because of my friends who are diverse in nature. We followed through very hard times with some, soaked real ijebu garri, scaled the fence, played and studied together. Thus, it will be inhumane to wake up one day and start questioning about what they do, where they came from and where they are going to.

I can’t be a hypocrite believing that all human are not selfish but it is a principle that we must respect other people’s feelings. Calling a spade a spade, we all possess our qualities and when a man keeps complaining on another man’s attitude, clearly shows that he doesn’t understand his own direction yet. Forgetting the fact that pointing your finger to someone, three fingers point back at you.
I am not a politician and am not related to any polity, I’m not a saint but am far from being a devil, so one thing I can clearly do is to understand which is right and which is wrong, the good from the bad.
It is sickening to see people creating sadness and heartache by their own hands or lips, making themselves unhappy unnecessarily concerning issues that have little or no effect on their daily lives. Look at a scenario of two best of friends fighting furiously on political arguments of Amechi/ Jonathan theme.  Another of a young graduate who stabbed his own brother on the issue of Messi/Ronaldo..duuuhh     I have also passed through villages that were completely set ablaze beacause of tribal differences.

What I am trying to picture out here is that , now that those friends have broken the bond of friendship they created over the years,  and before one knows it, Amechi and Jonathan will be just ok doing their own thing.
And do you think Messi will ever hear about those brothers, well, maybe, but so what?
Imagine how sweet it would have been if those tribes loved each other, tried to figure out their differences and protect each other. What will be lost? Nothing! Make this scenario bigger, make it a Nation.

Another thing that I am yet to understand is what’s happening in our second home, the facebook. It was supposed to be a link to happiness between old and new friends from around the globe. But apparently make it a medium to anger each other, post one thing that provokes our facebook friends and start calling names. And most times, we invited those parties to be our friends. And now trying to choler them?

I’m not a psychologist but I know that the more you want to make others sad, the more you become sad.
